I get the biggest kick out of watching for those special movements or interesting looks on a birds face to photograph. The date was August 5th 2009, late in the evening I was strolling around one last time at Carillon Boardwalk when I spotted this amusing little Green Heron. The funny look on his face comes from the fact he was so busy trying to catch a mosquito hawk buzzing around his head that he paid me absolutely no mind.

The look on his face to me was so humorous. His eyes look almost crossed. He managed to catch the flying insect but lost him when he tried to make his way back to a safer spot on a not so stable branch. He was so intent on a meal he forgot that he had wondered a bit off course.
